As part of our History topic, Class 1 went to Childhood Museum at Sudbury to explore toys of the past.

The children investigated old and new toys by looking at the materials used and how they were made. They then dated Jack-in-a-boxes into time order. One was particularly scary!

In the afternoon the children experienced what it would be like to work as a child chimney sweep by crawling up a chimney. After experiencing a Victorian classroom the children decided schools have changed for the better!

The children were full of excited chatter about what they had experienced and discovered.
