We welcomed parents and friends to a whole school music event – as Willoughby sang songs from the shows!
The evening began with a lively rendition of ABBA’s SOS, which really got the crowd in the musical mood.
From year 6 to Reception, all our children took to the stage, peforming hits from musicals including Oliver!, The Sound of Music and We Will Rock You.
A highlight was the older children’s fantastic dance to the Hairspray’s signature song You Can’t Stop the Beat!
Not to be outdone, the younger members of cast performed a fun instrumental version of We Don’t Talk About Bruno, from Encanto (how could we leave out that most current of musical films?!).
As well as singing, there was some entertaining dress up – from mucky faces and flat caps in the Oliver! hit Consider Yourself, to quaint headscarves for a KS1 rendition of Edelweiss.
