At Willoughby Primary School, music is taught through weekly whole-class lessons using the Charanga scheme, which provides a structured and progressive approach to musical learning. This includes singing, playing instruments, listening, and appraising a wide range of musical genres. Pupils have the opportunity to perform at school events such as the Harvest Festival, Christmas, Easter, and end-of-year services, helping them develop confidence and stage presence.
In addition to our timetabled music lessons, we also offer peripatetic music lessons in ukulele, guitar, keyboard and drumming.
