Children love art!
Our approach at Willoughby enthuses the children and leads to some creative art, craft and design opportunities within the overall topic-based approach.
Art, craft and design provides visual, tactile and sensory experiences and a special way of understanding and responding to the world. Enabling children to communicate what they see, feel and think through the use of colour, texture, form, pattern- using different materials and processes, the art, craft and design experiences at Willoughby have a positive impact on other areas of the curriculum.
As with all subjects, we ensure a progression in the full range of skills needed by the children and promoting breadth and balance in their work is very important to us.
