Forest School
Every year, each cohort has a 6 weekly block of Forest School sessions at Willoughby Woods.
The Forest School programme offers opportunities for hands on investigations, team building and pupil led learning activities within the woodland area.
The aims of these sessions are to develop social skills, communication, cognitive skills, confidence, resilience, emotional intelligence and self-esteem. Additionally, it provides opportunities for the children to enjoy the natural world and compliments the EYFS, KS1 and KS2 curriculums through outdoor experiences.
