Last week a fire fighter crew visited school as part of the Reception’s topic ‘People who help us’.
The children were a buzz with excitement as the crew talked about fire safety, what to do if there was a fire at home. The children got to try on a fire fighter’s uniform and helmet!
Afterwards they were able to explore the fire engine and its tools, sit in the cab and hold the big hose. The fire engine left school with the sirens blaring and blue lights flashing, much to the delight of us all.
