Welcome to Willoughby Primary School
We are a happy, village school with a friendly, family atmosphere.
Our aspiration is that all of our children will achieve success at Willoughby School, regardless of age, ability or personal circumstances.
Our staff devote a great deal of our time to planning for the educational and social achievement of our children. Our hope is children who come to Willoughby School will quickly feel at home and enjoy learning here.
Beatrice Smith , Head Teacher
We have been rated as Outstanding by OFSTED Inspectors and in 2015, we were ranked number 1 in the Primary Schools League tables for Nottinghamshire.
We also have a 100% success rate for pupils who take entrance exams for independent schools in the area.

Each year we mark Children in Need by doing something a little different! This year, the children brightened up the day by wearing yellow; the Juniors made posters and took part in the Big Morning Move with Joe Wicks and Pudsey and together we raised £113! Thank you!...
Our children marked Remembrance Day by making individual poppies and writing a message on the back. Each year group took a turn to plant their poppies before we had a minute's silence.
On a warm summer's day at the end of term in July, the whole school enjoyed a day at Willoughby Community Park! The children brought tents and set up camp to celebrate the end of term and Mr Guilder's retirement. They had a picnic lunch to say goodbye to Mr Guilder...

My daughter is now in Year 4 and she absolutely loves school! I am so happy with her progress, and I’m really impressed with the range of activities on offer. The caring, family feel of the school is one of its greatest assets.
My boys really enjoy school; they have great friends and a good relationship with the staff. I’ve been very impressed with the sports activities they get involved in with other Rushcliffe schools.
