We were absolutely delighted to learn of the success of former pupil, Joe Auty, who achieved the Key Stage 4 Head Teacher’s Award at The South Wolds Academy & Sixth Form (TSWA).
When he was at Willoughby School Joe was described as “every teacher‟s dream‟; Joe always worked hard, listened carefully and tried his best!
Halina Angus (TSWA Head Teacher) writes:
“From the very start of Year 7 Joe showed himself to be an outstanding student and this continues to the present day.
Always diligent, helpful and mature. He managed his workload and other commitments with ease and commanded a huge amount of respect from both his peers and those staff who have worked with him.
His academic achievement throughout his time here has been superb and all of Joe‟s teachers always spoke incredibly highly of his commitment and engagement with all subjects. His performance in the GCSE exams at the end of Year 11 was nothing short of magnificent.
His final grades included two grade 9s in maths and English Language, A*s in every single science module taken and 7 A*s overall. Results that myself, the school and, of course, Joe can be truly proud of.”
We, too, are extremely proud of Joe; all the teachers here who knew Joe have many fond memories of his time at Willoughby School and we are not at all surprised at the progress he has made and the success he is enjoying!
As part of the building blocks in Joe’s ‘Learning for Life’, Willoughby Primary School congratulates Joe and his proud parents on this accolade!
